How to check your screen time on iPhone and Android

29 October 2026 · Nuverdi

Before you can cut your screen time, you need to know the real number. Both iPhone and Android track it for you. Here's where to find it.

On iPhone and iPad

  1. Open Settings and tap Screen Time.
  2. Tap See All App & Website Activity.
  3. Choose Week at the top. You'll see your daily average for the week.
  4. Scroll down to see your time by category. Social is the one that matters for most people.

If you use more than one Apple device, turn on Share Across Devices in Screen Time settings. Your iPhone report then includes your iPad and Mac too, so one screenshot covers everything.

On Android

  1. Open Settings and tap Digital Wellbeing & parental controls. On some phones it's just called Digital Wellbeing.
  2. The dashboard shows your screen time and which apps used it.
  3. Tap into the chart to see earlier days and your weekly pattern. Menu names vary a little between phone makers.

What counts as social media

Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, X and Facebook are the usual ones. On iPhone, the Social category groups most of them for you.
